Kimberlite exploration is heating up for Lucapa at Lulo
We have been following Lucapa Diamond Company for a number of years and have been supportive of that company's development of two profitable diamond mines. However, the ultimate attraction has been the potential to discover high value kimberlite pipes from which the alluvial diamonds have come.
Yesterday's ASX release looks like it is the most significant news flow on the quest for the source pipe that we have seen. All the right signatures are there; the kimberlite pipes, the tributory river that is draining from these pipes, the recovery of quality diamonds at the mouth of the river, and the proximity of only 3 km from a rich mining block location downstrweam.
It is still speculative, but that is where the action is!
